Eric Sattler is one of the ATX’s premiere content creators. Homegrown and proud, he vowed to make a statement with all he does whether it be his film and production company NVISION Films, or clothing line, 512 Gear. When he is not working with a client to create a visual, he is creating a brand that represents the vibe of ATX. And that he did. 512 Gear captures the vivacious and eclectic pulse of the city. Colorful, modern and universal, there is a piece for everyone. We had to catch up with the uber talented Eric, check out our interview with Eric Sattler below:

Why do you do what you do?

Creating video has been a passion of mine since I could remember. The ability to take someone’s vision and turn it into an everlasting memory is something I enjoy doing. I was tired of buying other cities sports team hats. Being Austin doesn’t have a pro sports team, I felt it was my responsibility as someone who maneuvers through the city, to create a brand that represents the flavor\vibe of our city.

Who’s your biggest inspiration?

Definitely my family. Once they understood my passion to be and entrepreneur was never gonna stop, they really started to back me as much as possible in both avenues, video and clothing,

What sets you apart from the rest?

The amount of passion my clients have for their project, I make sure to take it on as my own as well, and carry that same passion. From videos, to clothing, I want to be able to step into their vision and make sure I capture the moments that mean the most to the story they want to tell. Not many do that anymore.

How do you stay motivated against competition?

I try not to compete. I understand we all move at a pace that is meant for our liking. Some might move fast and quick and make it to their goals faster. As for me, I enjoy the slow process and the view. It allows me to take in everything and appreciate the sweat that I put into it at that moment. Motivation is mostly that, knowing that im about to experience something totally different from what I did the day before.

Who do you work with or what does it take to work with you? Where can we find you?

I work with anyone who wants to step out of the norm and try something new and exciting. It takes a budget and passion to work with me. Because if you can’t invest in yourself, why should anyone else?

Who wears your brand?

Austin, and surrounding areas. A lot of people have showed the brand a lot of love. It may not be for any other city, but the styles and designs aren’t meant to be JUST for us. It’s for everyone that wants to be a part of what Austin is.

Any dope things coming up?

I am currently working with a network to build tv shows and movies. Hopefully you see my work on a tv or theater in the near future.
