U.S. Congressman Lloyd Doggett tweeted a photo of a colored light display in front of the U.S. Capitol on the eve of President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration.

“The sun has set on the horrible Trump presidency for the last time tonight. At long last. Tomorrow is a new day for our democracy,” he tweeted at 7:30 p.m.

Doggett represents the 35th District of Texas with offices in Austin and San Antonio. He was also one of many who chose to impeach President Trump after Trump supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol.
