Scooting into a shooting

We knew riding e-scooters could be dangerous … but not this kind of dangerous. According to the San Antonio Police Department, a 16-year-old was riding an electric scooter with a friend around 1:45 a.m. on Monday, June 1, when he felt something strike his lower leg. Thinking it was glass, he sat down at a picnic table outside the V Lounge, at 107 E. Martin St., and called emergency services.  Officers later determined the victim had actually been shot and found additional bullet holes in the V Lounge windows. The victim was transported to San Antonio Medical Center with non-threatening injuries, and SAPD says the suspect remains unknown.

Texas’ 2021 Legislative Session was a wild ride, but it ended on a sweet note. Sen.
