World Cup Semifinal Field Is Complete
England and Argentina claimed the final two places in the 2026 FIFA World Cup semifinals Saturday night.
Jude Bellingham scored twice as England overcame Norway 2-1 after extra time in Miami Gardens, Florida. Norway took the lead through Andreas Schjelderup, but Bellingham equalized before halftime and delivered the winning goal three minutes into extra time.
England has advanced to the World Cup semifinals for the first time since 2018. Bellingham and Harry Kane now have six goals each during the tournament, giving England two proven match-winners as the pressure rises.
Argentina survived its own difficult quarterfinal, defeating Switzerland 3-1 after extra time. Julián Alvarez scored in the 112th minute to help the defending champions secure another semifinal appearance. Lionel Messi did not score, ending his tournament scoring streak, but his influence remained central to Argentina’s attack.

The Seattle Seahawks have reached an agreement to be sold to an ownership group led by the Khosla family for a reported $9.612 billion.
The purchase price would establish a new NFL record, surpassing the $6.05 billion sale of the Washington Commanders in 2023. It would also rank among the largest franchise transactions in North American sports history.
The deal must still receive approval from NFL owners. The Khosla family would also be required to relinquish its minority ownership position in the San Francisco 49ers.
The Seahawks are coming off their second Super Bowl championship and are expected to remain in Seattle. Proceeds from the sale will ultimately support charitable initiatives established by the late Paul Allen, who purchased the franchise for $194 million in 1997.
The numbers tell the story. Seattle’s value has multiplied nearly 50 times during the Allen ownership era. Sports franchises are no longer simply teams. They have become blue-chip media, real estate and entertainment assets wearing helmets.
McGregor’s UFC Return Ends After One Minute
