Campaign literature mailed to San Antonio residents in support of a school district candidate used quotation marks to describe an opponent’s gay marriage.
The flyers, mailed by the San Antonio Family Association, urged voters to name Ione McGinty to the board that runs North East ISD. In a section about McGinty’s incumbent opponent, Omar Leos, the flyers read, “‘Married’ to same-sex man.”
