Good morning, San Antonio! After some speculation, it looks like Roadrunners football head coach Jeff Traylor will be around for a bit longer. Here’s what you need to know.
Over the weekend, Traylor signed a 10-year contract extension valued at $28 million with an annual salary of $2.8 million, according to a news release from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
UTSA will also increase the salary pool for assistant coaches and support staff.
Traylor has more than 30 years of coaching experience. He was the associate head coach and running backs coach at the University of Arkansas and Southern Methodist University.
He also coached at the University of Texas at Austin, serving as associate head coach for offense and receivers, special teams coordinator, and tight ends coach.
He currently leads an undefeated team as the Roadrunners’ third head coach in program history.
